Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details — your email address, name and a password (stored as a one-way hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email, name and verified-email status; we never see your Google password.
• Documents and text you upload or paste for plagiarism checks, AI detection, AI highlights, humanizing or AI chat, and the results we produce for them.
• Payment references — the amount, currency, time and the transaction reference returned by the payment provider (card or M-Pesa). We never receive or store full card numbers.
• Usage information — IP address, browser type, pages visited and actions taken (for example a check being submitted), kept in an activity log for security and support.

How we use it

• To provide the services you request: generating reports, detections and rewrites, and keeping your credits and order history.
• To send transactional emails such as sign-up verification, password resets, receipts and completion or failure notices for your orders.
• To prevent abuse and fraud, protect accounts and resolve support requests.
• To send occasional service announcements. You can ask us to stop these at any time.

Documents and reports

Uploaded files and generated reports are kept for 48 hours after processing so you can download them, and are then deleted automatically. Order records (file name, scores and status) are kept in your account history. We do not use your documents to train AI models or publish them anywhere.

Who we share it with

• Processing partners — documents are sent to the originality, AI-detection and AI providers that produce your results, solely to produce them.
• Payment providers — card and M-Pesa payments are handled by our payment processors under their own privacy policies.
• Email delivery — transactional emails are sent through our email service provider.
• Resellers — if you use a service link issued by a reseller, that reseller can see the orders placed through their link (file name, scores and status) but not your account password or payment card details.

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference cookie for light/dark mode. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Google sign-in loads Google's sign-in script, which may set its own cookies under Google's policy.

Your rights

You can view and update your profile from your dashboard, and you can ask us to export or delete your account and data by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal details; anonymised financial records may be kept where the law requires it.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are stored as salted hashes, and administrative access is restricted and logged. No online service can promise absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where offered.
