Terms of Service

The service

Instruncor provides originality (similarity) and AI-writing reports, AI highlights, AI detection, text humanizing and AI chat. Reports are produced by third-party detection engines; we pass your document to them and return their output to you. We do not alter scores or reports.

Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person per account unless you are a reseller. Accounts used for abuse, fraud or to circumvent limits may be suspended.
• You may sign in with Google; the email on that Google account becomes your account email.

Credits and payments

• Services are paid for with credits bought in advance by card or M-Pesa. Prices and what one credit buys are shown on the Buy page at the time of purchase.
• A credit is spent when a check is successfully submitted. If processing fails on our side the credit is returned automatically; if a report is produced the credit is consumed even if you disagree with the result.
• Credits are not transferable between accounts. Where an expiry period applies it is shown on the Buy page and on your dashboard before you buy. Credits are not refundable for cash once bought, except where required by law or where we were unable to deliver the service at all.
• Promotional or free credits may be withdrawn at any time.

Acceptable use

• Only upload content you own or are permitted to check. Do not upload malware, unlawful content or other people's personal data without permission.
• Reports are provided for your own review and improvement of your work. You are responsible for complying with your institution's or employer's rules, including their policies on AI assistance and submitting work for checking.
• Do not scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service, resell access outside the reseller programme, or share service links publicly in a way that lets strangers spend your credits.

Resellers and API

Resellers buy credits at wholesale rates and distribute them through service links or the API. Resellers are responsible for their own clients, for how their links are shared and for any charges they make. API keys must be kept secret; usage through a key is billed to the key's owner.

Results and availability

Detection scores are estimates produced by automated systems and can be wrong in either direction; they are not a guarantee of how any other checker, institution or reviewer will assess your text. We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it; processing times vary with provider load. Files and reports are deleted 48 hours after processing, so download what you need promptly.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the credits involved in that claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as academic or professional consequences based on a report.

Changes and termination

We may change features or prices, and we may update these terms by posting the new version here. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time.
